Soft Container of Repeated Use (SCR)
The soft container is a "big bag" of repeated use. It has a sediment neck on the top and a valve cotter to unload from the bottom.
Laden soft container has the following dimensions: diameter — 2.5 m, height — 2.8 m and t volume — 13. Capacity of the soft container — 14 tons.
Soft container completely sealed and eliminates any ingress of moisture inside.
Expected competitive advantages in the use of soft containers for transporting, storing and handling of bulk cargo:
- Soft container can be transported by any kind of non-transport (car, railway, water), which significantly saves time searching for the rolling stock / shipping and money on freight.
- Use of soft containers minimizes the loss of cargo during the loading, unloading, handling.
- Eliminates the load`s contact with the environment, but also protects from the reaction with moisture, keeps the goods in unaltered state throughout the delivery.
- Solves the problem of unloading almost anywhere: in the technological transport of the plant, a warehouse, in the manufacturing process, etc.
- Cargo in soft containers can be stored in open areas of accumulation at a temperature of -50°C to +60°C.
- Soft container can be loaded and unloaded within a few minutes.
- Soft container protects the vehicles from damage caused by contact with chemically active substances
Big-Bag
FIBC — flexible intermediate bulk container (big-bag, bulk bag) is the most progressive type of package for transporting any kind of bulk goods, lump and packed materials and even liquids. The benefits of using FIBCs are connected not only with its low price (compared to other types of package), but also with the following factors:
- offering a low package:product weight ratio (1:1000);
- leakproof package;
- easy filling, discharging and transporting in assistance with comprehensive mechanization;
- mildly hazardous (2-5 class) and aggressive loads transportation by common means of transport is possible;
- suitable for foodstuffs transporting.
In this connection, FIBCs increase the competitive advantages of the company, that is why the annual container consumption in Russia and all over the world experience the fast grow.
Types of the FIBCs and selection guidelines are represented on this page. Capacity of the container varies from 300-2000 litre, carrying capacity varies from 500-2000 kg, by margin of safety 5:1, 6:1.
FIBCs’ marking contain basic operation factors of containers, which is interpreted as follows:
Interpretation of marking on soft container by the example FIBC 1,0C2-1,0 PPT2
Example | FIBC | 1,0 | С | 2 | 1,0 | PPT | 2 | |
Interpretation | Flexible intermediate bulk container (Single-trip FIBC) | Relative volume, m3 | Container type: integrated lift loops | Number of lift loops | Working load, tn | Type of cloth: polypropylene tubular | Number of cloth layers | Additional elements of the container |
Variants | Multi-trip FIBC | L: belt lift loops; T: rope lift loops | 1,2,4 | 0,5-2 | PP: polypropylene, blade/sheet/cloth | 1,2,4 | Fill spout, duffel top, discharge spout, lower apron & other |
